Meet Jan

Jan Baskin is the Founder and CEO of Business Enhancement Strategies, LLC.

Jan Baskin is a globally-recognized expert in marketing and business strategy, business enhancement and turn-around, and sustainability. With Adventist Health System from 2008-2017, Jan served as Marketing AVP and was most recently at Florida Hospital Carrollwood, part of the team creating a new approach to healthcare delivery in the Tampa market. She focused on the federally-mandated Community Health Plan, creating unique, life-changing, innovative and landmark programs throughout the community. Her creation of the nationally-recognized and innovative Food Is Medicine program has resulted in substantive health improvements and is a model for collective and community impact. She was also responsible for developing physician well-being programs, community benefit and outreach, and mission environment. 

Jan is well-known for her expertise in marketing, public relations, branding, and cultural change within an organization. During her 11 year tenure at AT&T, including service as Vice President of Public Relations for AT&T and AT&T Canada, she established a proven reputation for successfully introducing new products and services, turning stagnant or lackluster parts of the business into vital ones, and handling crisis situations. Her branding programs, marketing plans and implementation resulted in millions of dollars in increased sales throughout AT&T’s data communications business in the United States, Canada, Europe, and Asia.

Jan is also well-known for her networking ability, partnership building, and fundraising on behalf of a myriad of organizations, resulting in more than $50 million in donations and support. As CEO of the St. Joseph’s Hospital Foundation in Tampa, FL, Jan resuscitated and created a sustainable business, increasing assets from $2M to $14M in three years.

She currently chairs and serves on several health-related boards and committees in the Tampa Bay area, throughout Florida and at the national and international levels. She earned her degree at The Ohio State University in Sino/Soviet Relations with minors in Russian and Chinese languages. Jan is a popular speaker, focusing on motivation, strategic business growth, community impact, and the social side of business.
